MUD Australia was founded in 1994. The porcelain range, designed by Shelley Simpson, combines handmade processes, clean lines, colour palette & functionality. The result is a product that neatly intersects a minimalist aesthetic with an artisan finish. The porcelain happily fits in any interior, providing a timeless alternative to mass produced ceramic design.

Made in their Sydney studio using porcelain clay sourced directly from Limoges, France, the pigment is tinted to the body at slip stage to provide colour depth. Clear glaze is applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling.

MUD Australia strongly believes in the global values of craft and community. MUD Australia porcelain is handmade in their Sydney-factory by both professional and amateur ceramicists. Each piece is designed to last and manufactured using the best materials available. All glazes and porcelain bodies are non-toxic.

The porcelain is oven, microwave, dishwasher and food safe—making it ideal for domestic and commercial use at the table and in the kitchen.
